FuturHist Integrated Planning Toolkit (DRAFT - WIP)
The FuturHist Integrated Planning Toolkit is a digital Decision Support System (DSS) designed to scale the energy renovation of Europe’s historic building stock. By replacing slow, case-by-case assessments with a typology-based methodology, the toolkit provides a structured, replicable pathway for deep retrofitting.
Operationalising EN 16883:2017, the system guides users from a baseline building survey to an automated filtration of conservation-compatible solutions. Through KPIs and guidance modules, FuturHist empowers stakeholders to future-proof heritage assets for the clean energy transition while preserving their unique cultural significance
Features implemented and in development:
- LCA calculation
- LCC calculation
- Baseline assessment
- Results overview
- Solutions offering per D4.2/D4.3 deliverable
- PyBuildingEnergy as an energy need simulator
- Solution filtration based on heritage and technical compatibility conditions
Features upcoming:
- Differentiated BFI solutions (slab/basement wall/basement ceiling)
- Validation of insulation input thickness
- More detailed (simulated) energy demand calculation
- Graphical User Interface changes and improvements
